Every year since 1998 I've tried to render something festive for the holidays. Sometimes it's something totally new, sometimes I adapt an existing scene.

In 2018 I was trying to use Plant Factory for more than just modeling plants. I used it to create tornadoes, crystals and other abstract geometry.

Here I used to to model the aurora in the distance. This piece was inspired by a photo in the '18 Sierra Club calendar that featured pinkish aurora. The scene is rendered using VUE Enterprise.

The title is a line from my all-time favorite Christmas carol..."O Holy Night".

This is probably my favorite pure "wallpaper" from amongst my Christmas renders.
