Every year since 1998 I've tried to render something festive for the holidays. Sometimes it's something totally new, sometimes I adapt an existing scene.

In 2016 I wanted to learn how to put actual "snow" on my fir trees using Plant Factory. I came up with a way to add displaced sphere primitives on the branches in a way that simulated clumpy snow.

The title, again, is borrowed from a favorite Christmas carol.
