Surrounding the Tsuglakhang Temple in Dharmsala, the Dalai Lama's temple, are a myriad of sacred symbols and prayer flags representing both the sacred symbols of Tibetan Buddhism and the Tibetan folk roots of this community in exile. While working on a documentary project on the Tibetan diaspora, I would often circle the temple and admire all of these sacred symbols.

This image was part of a documentary project exploring the cultural preservation of the Tibetan Exile Community while documenting in India in 2006.
