Artwork from the multi-awarded series 'Tale of the Blue Pear'.
Shown with the positive, even humorous attitude, in these surreal scenes, animals settled in man-made places. Here they have important roles with no hierarchy, quite opposite of what they face in real life, unfortunately.
They are shown in allegorical meaning, sometimes depicting personified characters, showing us the animalistic side of human nature, in a world where they are the main protagonists of the story.
They create a link between man-made, historical surroundings and fragile natural environments. Furthermore, they raise questions about the situations they found themselves in, about the awkward surroundings where they don’t belong.
I hope that the viewer will pause, even for a while, and dive into these worlds, which at the same time connect familiar surroundings and unfamiliar situations.
