It’s all in the layers. One volcanic eruption on top of another, that’s how Iceland was created. Hengifoss waterfall is one of the highest in Iceland and shows our history in a very visual way. Each layer represents an era and a volcano. Together they make up what is Iceland, and slowly, the streams from the glaciers are carving through these very layers, exposing our history.
