I met this kid on June 2018. It was my first time in the peruvian jungle, in a small town called Iquitos. I travelled there with a good friend of mine to promote tourism in the zone. We visited many islands around, but definitively this one blew our minds, the Yaguas Island.

The Yagua Tribe received us as part of their family, they opened the door of their houses for us, showed us their culture and their traditions .They made us dance and sing out loud in the middle of the jungle.

I remember seeing this kid going unnoticed, he was carrying a baby sloth while sitting and watching us dance with the oldest of the tribe, I instantly felt in love with their connection.

This portrait is so special to me, his expression remains forever in my heart, and I’m sure that their path on life will be full of love and good company as long as they are together.
