Creatonotos Gangis
is a Tiger Moth. It can be found in Southeast Asia and some parts of Australia. I used the brown color from its wings to design the character’s hair, and the red-orange color from its abdomen to design the character’s clothes with the mix of Japanese culture. The male moth has a special gland that can extend antennae from its body to attract female moths during the mating season. I chose to draw a female character to convey that males don’t always have to attract females first.
