Patta, A Paniya Tribal Women.
Patta a 70 years old Paniya tribal women from wayanad. She is with ear plug made of manjadikkuru (Circassian seed). A majority of the adivasis (tribal communities) that reside in Wayanad District of Kerala belong to the Paniya tribe. The word 'Paniyan' means 'worker'.
This large ear plugs with Manchadikkuru has been considered as a specificity of the women belongs to Paniya community.
