Imhotep was an ancient Egyptian priest who served as the high priest of Osiris and Seti I's advisor. Imhotep was mummified alive for his crimes of murdering the Pharaoh and practising dark magic from the Book of the Dead, becoming the only known person to be cursed with the Hom-Dai, the most wicked of all ancient curses.
In this masterpiece, Imhotep is portrayed as a skull in the other world, surrounded by the scarab-faced deity Khepri, who represents creation and life's renewal; nevertheless, Khepri does the opposite this time, not only devouring his face but also his Nemes headdress.
Note: If you live in a state where recreational cannabis is legal, you can perfectly imitate the artist's mental state while creating this masterpiece.
