This piece is a tribute to a female artist who influenced the Art Nouveau movement: Margaret Macdonald Macintosh.
Margaret and her sister, Frances, were Scottish artists who helped define the "Glasgow Style". They were influenced by Celtic imagery, Japanese woodblock prints and natural themes which combined define the distinctive style of Art Nouveau. Margaret's work was a major influence both on her husband, Charles Rennie Mackintosh's renowned architectural work and can be seen in the works of Gustav Klimt.

This piece is a 1/1 edition carefully created by Maneki Neko.
It began as a text-to-image collaboration with an AI (DALLE-2) to create an "init image". Heavily edited in Photoshop and collaged with other images to intentionally add or smooth details in specific areas, this image was used to initialize generations in another AI (DiscoDiffusion) model.
After more than 100 iterations in DiscoDiffusion over 3 days of experimentation with different combinations of prompts and settings and more refined edits to the init image in Photoshop, a final candidate that reflected the desired Art Nouveau stained-glass style was rendered. The piece was then finished with color and fine detail editing in Photoshop.
