Description

SONG OF THE FOX
-by Lily Lorelei

'Flaming is the sky
The myth is not a lie
That must be the Phoenix.

Half-deserted streets
Illuminating mists
Twisted little helix.

Scents and hunger and shadows on my back!
A call for hunting.
Friends or foes, who's lurking in the dark?
It's time for hunting.
A yelp in the silence, a rustle, and a crack!
Alone I'm hunting.

And the world doesn’t have to make more sense
Doesn't matter what I'm called, just call me nameless
And with swag, I jump and run across the fence
Doesn't matter where I go, I'm free and aimless.

Men's dens smoking
My fur is nearly soaking
Wretched crawling clouds.

Mystifying hilltops
Silver little treetops
Stupid barking sheepdogs
Must carry on my rounds.

Rumbles and grumbles and a tiny little quack!
A call for hunting.
Soon will rise the Phoenix, sharp will be my thwack!
It's time for hunting.
Prowling in the stillness, a sudden and a swat!
Alone I'm hunting.

And the world doesn't have to make more sense
Doesn't matter what I'm called, just call me nameless
And with swag, I jump and run across the fence
Doesn't matter where I go, I'm free and aimless.'
