“Maman, j’ai raté ma vie” is a subversive reference to the comedy “Home alone” from 1990 by Chris Columbus, featuring main character Kevin. I twisted the French title “Mom, I’ve missed the flight” into “Mom, I’ve missed out on life” as the 90’s child is terrified by the suburban lifestyle of middle class America.
