The Garífuna people are an ethnic group of Honduras that stands out for their customs, cultures, and traditional practices, rooted since the beginning of their times, which remain more alive than ever.
The dance is a funeral ceremonial dance whose Garifuna name is Banguidi or Bunda, which has been shortened and adapted to the Spanish language, becoming known to all as La Punta.
