Mrs bored ape has become a Qajar woman
Woman with a veil (hijab) that It is her deliberate act of lifting the veil and revealing her pretty face 😉 that alters her bored & poker persona to a more consciously aware and flirtatious one.
The original of this painting is attributed to Mohammad, circa 1845, and it is an iconic image of Qajar beauty, representing the feminine ideal of the period. Depictions of attractive young women were the most prolific subject outside royal portraiture in the Qajar period. Here the woman's arresting stare is both a promise and a confrontation, her very pose is a testament to her sensuality. And yet this is not an image of a harem girl. Her rich clothes, ornate pearl-fringed headdress and jeweled arm- and wristbands mark her out as a lady of privilege and wealth. She is dressed in a rich, but essentially modest manner, fully covered from head to foot.
In this piece, I drew bored woman ape with a digital pen on original image.
