This artwork was custom made for the biggest digital billboard {9.2m (h) x 71.6m (w) or about 230ft wide.} in Hong Kong for the Art Basel HK 2023.

It is to be first in a series about the girl with the Black Rabbit helmet who travels through different worlds to deliver, which may or may not be a Metaverse virtual reality. 

In this one she is seen approaching and activating the portal, and her right hand has already morphed into something else.

What was not made known at the time this was being displayed was what this artwork really is about:

The dilemma of Hong Kong under Beijing rule.


Reddened night sky.  
The rabbits are all trying to stay afloat as they head towards the portal. Some have devices to assist them, some don't. That's life.

But is this a story about optimism and hope towards an unknown future? Or is this a story about exile and exodus?
