I made this piece at a time when I was feeling the universe was playing pranks on me. I felt I was invisible, and just existing but apparently, I have been seen and I have found my tribe.
Below is the original description stemming from the cocktail of emotion I had felt when I made the piece:
After putting in the effort, time, and dedication to your craft, you try to get seen. While waiting, you shine the light on others like you, hoping they get seen, sometimes, you might not get this in return, no nudge from anyone. You gradually feel like an outcast, but you hang on, still waiting for someone to actually see you, connect with you, your thoughts, feelings, strokes, and splatter, and maybe recognize you're an artist.
Hold on, the flowers would come.
Here is my painting; Invisible Adam, with the Japanese inscription on his shirt, saying give people their roses...I'd add, give it to them when they can smell it.
