This work is inspired by the short animated film 'Skhizein' by French director Jeremy Clapin, which I consider to be the best film depicting mental fragmentation and has had a profound impact on my life. The video begins with the character Henry's words, 'I wasn't always like this, I used to be normal.' Subsequent scenes are accompanied by eerie winds blowing over flowers, a black hole, a ballerina, and a small toy horse. While it may seem that mental fragmentation has no effect on the world or the universe, scenes of the ballerina and the toy horse reflect that this fragmentation began somehow from childhood. In the final scene, I ironically address alienation using the 'alien' theme. I am particularly curious about the impact this work will have on the audience. I have no doubt that viewers who have seen the film will feel the same way as I do. Dedicated to B.
