"Classical Redux" is a collection of artworks created by Polygon1993 that pushes the boundaries of traditional art by blending iconic paintings from legendary artists such as Van Gogh, Magritte, De Vinci, Bacon and more with a captivating aesthetic of analog circuit-bent gear and CRT TVs. In "Classical Redux," famous paintings are reimagined and reinterpreted using glitch art and analog circuit-bending techniques. The project attempts to provoke thought, stimulate dialogue, and engage viewers in an immersive experience that blurs the boundaries between traditional and contemporary art forms by introducing visual distortions, glitches, and interferences to the original compositions.
Using analog circuit-bent gear and CRT monitors, Polygon1993 introduces intentional glitches and disruptions into meticulously selected classical artworks. In this process, the electronic circuits of the equipment are modified to manipulate and distort the visuals, creating a fusion of the timeless and the contemporary. A careful transformation is applied to each piece of artwork, maintaining its core elements while integrating glitched elements that challenge the viewer's perception.
