Some forms of transportation in the Great City of Gateway eschew the normal standards of road, river and canal. Before the Inquisition made permits cost-prohibitive, many of the city's wealthier wizards liked to get around town via giant palanquin-crabs, who could navigate the many pitches and spires of the Gateway roofscape with ease.
