The Death of Art

Mors Artis speaks of the unbreakable bond between creator and creation — a relationship built on intimacy and vulnerability. This work portrays the death of traditional art — a fading symbol, slowly replaced by the rise of fast, ephemeral creation. The artist holds it close, in a gesture of tenderness, protection, and desperate love.

Mors Artis is about more than the loss of traditional art — it’s about staying close to the part of us that still needs to create. It speaks to the urge to make something that feels real, something that connects us to others, and to ourselves.

This work is a collaboration between Italian 3D artist Rebecca Fiaschi and Swedish painter Linnea Moritz. The painted texture was created by Moritz using Procreate, while Fiaschi was responsible for the 3D modeling, rendering, and post-production.
