Sapphire represents one of my best images to date. It is so rare to have a moment like this when two waves collide creating a beautiful flare, To be positioned in the right place to capture a full spectrum of colour in the wave including gold.
Golden hour is the best time to shoot but when you'r out to sea shooting it means returning home in the dark. I called this piece Sapphire because just like the rare gemstone it has a wide range of colour that can naturally occur.
