Chapter II: Shadows and Judgment

This series focuses on bodily deformation and tension, echoing changeling folklore and the legacy of the Crip Theory. Here, neurodivergence is not hidden—it is embodied, distorted, revealed. Each figure defies the standards of neurological and physical “normality,” reclaiming space through grotesque beauty. These bodies are fragile, yes—but not broken. They challenge the violence of perfection and expose the myth of the acceptable self.

This project emerged from personal experience, anthropological research, and a symbolic dream. After studying changelings and the historic persecution of neurodivergent individuals, I witnessed a woman in meltdown—met with silent judgment. That night, I dreamed of a vast fresco of collective sensory crisis. From that vision came Changelings, a baroque, high-resolution AI series exploring the true horror: not the meltdown, but society’s refusal to understand it.
