Chapter I: Sensory Overload

These artworks portray the autistic meltdown in its rawest form—an explosion of sensory and emotional intensity. Each image amplifies confusion, noise, and entanglement. Baroque composition and fractal detail reflect the overwhelming nature of sensory overload. This chaos is not madness—it is a form of truth that society refuses to recognize. The real disturbance lies in the judgmental gaze, not in the experience itself.

This project emerged from personal experience, anthropological research, and a symbolic dream. After studying changelings and the historic persecution of neurodivergent individuals, I witnessed a woman in meltdown—met with silent judgment. That night, I dreamed of a vast fresco of collective sensory crisis. From that vision came Changelings, a baroque, high-resolution AI series exploring the true horror: not the meltdown, but society’s refusal to understand it.
