As we paddled out to escape the smoke that was quickly covering the sky, we realized the eerie scene was a unique opportunity to shoot something different at this popular location. We made a last minute decision to stop and I went for a swim in the glacial lake while my friend Cath took this photo.

It can be hard to find fellow photographers who share the same vision, level of motivation and creativity. This is the result of a collaboration with one of the very few photographers I've been able to work well with on an artistic level.

Every adventure can a blast even when conditions are not ideal when you're with the right people.
