Nelson Mandela and Winnie Mandela visited Kenya as guests of President Daniel Arap Moi shortly after Madiba’s release from prison after 28 long years under apartheid. While in Kenya Mandela spoke about how the struggle of the Mau Mau against the British to end colonialism in Kenya inspired the struggle in South Africa to end apartheid.
