We used to keep a self-portrait of Vincent Willem van Gogh somewhere in Chelsea World. I think Andreas had built a house for it. I would go there and photograph it, then print it on glossy paper and photograph it again, trying to imagine that I was in a real room with that portrait.

*Chelsea in Active Worlds was the first virtual world for art and architecture. It hosted offices for ArtForum, Flash Art, DESTE Foundation, the Force Collection, Vanessa Beecroft, Murakami & Nara's studios etc.
