I've managed to create a new Halloween render every year since 2003. Sometimes I like to create something entirely new but sometimes I like to take a theme that I worked on years before and see if I can improve it with my new skills and perspective.

This is a revision of a popular piece I created back in 2007. It was popular but there were many issues with it that I wanted to fix. For this new version I modeled the jack-o-lantern using Oculus Medium and I made the environment just chaotic enough to be spooky.

The parts that I liked from the original I kept so this is a true hybrid of the classic and the new. One of my favorite sayings about art is from Da Vinci: "Art is never finished, only abandoned". I like to come back to my pieces from time to time.
