Although this is one of the most beautiful spots in the Canadian rockies, it's become so overcrowded these past few years that you have to arrive in the parking lot before 5am if you want to make it before it's full. It wasn't always this way though, when I first moved to the rockies, I went there to shoot sunrise and had the place all to myself, there wasn't a soul around until the sun came out. Instagram has sadly burned a lot of locations, which is why I started hiking further and further to avoid the crowds. I took this photo 5 years ago when I still got to enjoy this view all alone. I just sat there in silence admiring the perfect reflection.
