Designed Consciousness: Days After you go alone, closely continues the conversation from a preceding series, Designed Consciousness: Go alone which, among other series, come together to form the grand conversation expressed in the Artist’s exploration of space, making spaces for oneself, navigating the uncertainty of a devotion and faith to one’s calling.
By Designed Consciousness, the artist attempts to weave the narrative that one would often have to create for themselves, the timeline for their dreams, and ambitions to thrive.
Days after you go alone imagines a consciousness where one has learned to become more for themselves through the course of their journey. As artists, we will often practice in solitude, learning to become our first fan, critic, spectator while still maintaining our primary function as creators. Designed Consciousness as a whole discusses the creation of that space, the mental journey there and are subsequent interaction with and within the spaces created.
