An exploration of the fleeting nature of beauty and time.
A rose rested on the mantle of our fire place,
It balanced there, yet was not toppled by the breeze,
Which lifted curtains to their temptations,
In antique ornaments beneath,
Days passed as the fire raised in heat,
From a full glow to a turbulence.
