Into the Unknown.
This work unfolds in a dreamlike tension Between innocence and terror. In the center, a small, radiant figure, wearing a green hat and a blue coat, moves through the night, a lantern in hand. Her face, bathed in a warm yellow glow, radiates simplicity and purity, evoking a child lost in surprise.
But just behind her, imposing and encompassing the frame, looms a massive, dark figure, faceless except for two piercing eyes, stunned and luminous. Its form is raw, amorphous, more silhouette than body, as if born of imagination.
The composition plays with duality: light and darkness, innocence and terror, camaraderie and danger. Balancing the fantasy of the childlike character with the existential terror of the shadow and the astonishment of both characters.
