Beaux-Arts Tangibility

Artwork information
Description

Beaux-Arts Tangibility is part of a series of works that reimagine the opulent architectural exteriors of New York City. The Dorilton was one of the first luxury apartment buildings constructed during the city's Gilded Age. In this surreal vignette, a section of the building's facade is transformed into a type of fabric – reflecting on materiality in the digital age, while drawing connections between eras of affluence and economic transformation.
