Penelope Jo Matchett

This collection is an invitation into my recent journey of light painting photography. 
Through compositing, I've combined my studio flash photography with light painting, to create these works. 

I create because of who I am, but also as a form of therapy to manage depression, anxiety and as a way of dealing with the physical restrictions I'm presented with each day. 

Though this series represents complex issues, I feel it is transformed into beauty, through the use of light and it's absence.
