Yao Jui-Chung

*Moon–Block–Chain* is a document of Yao Jui-Chung's cryptocurrency initiation. The artist visited Hongludi Temple, a popular place of worship for wealth wishing in the mountains above Taipei, to divine the private key to a lucky wallet. An answer from a pair of moon blocks yields one bit of information.

This photo series links cryptography and divination through faith in the randomness of the universe. Traditional divination tools are re-appropriated as random number generators.
