MissingBitcoins is an ongoing pixel-based archive about disappearance.

It begins with the millions of Bitcoins permanently lost on-chain, and extends this condition into a broader inquiry into overlooked human disappearance, memory, and erasure in the digital age.

The project treats pixel not as style, but as an ethic of attention — where the pixel is the smallest unit, and the individual becomes the smallest invisible, recording what vanishes, what circulates, and what is never searched for.
