Macrofying 

0.5 millimeter small grains of real sand, captured with a high-performance microscope. 

In early June 2021 I decided to take some sand from an untouched beach in Spain with me back to Germany. I was mesmerized by the beauty and detail of these individual pieces.
So over the course of 4 months I built a new setup using stepper motors and different fluids to figure out how to capture something so small in a 360 degree rotation..
