I want to show the other Istanbul in this collection. The majority of the photographs were taken in the district of Kagithane, which is located on the European side of Istanbul and is not very known to tourists. The district contains many contrasts such as rich-poor, safe-dangerous, expensive-cheap.

I want to finish with a word from my Dad, who is also a writer: ‘’Dystopia was not my desire. However, it is imperative that the person who loses utopia falls into dystopia’’
