Jellyfish are one of the most ancient creatures on our planet and a bioindicator of climate change. One particular species is even biologically immortal. Water is getting warmer, and their natural predators are dead for confusing them with plastic bags. They represent my homeland, the Balearic Islands, where swarms of them plague our beaches every summer. As individuals, they are delicate and fragile yet have a powerful sting. As a swarm, they can even sink boats.
