I am a child of television and radio. The rhythms of my days growing up are punctuated with synchronous programming, enjoyed in communion with others. I am a child of predictable technology with dependable content. I found comfort and solace in it.
TV and radio were my first teachers - I can't remember much of what I learned in school but I can remember the programs I watched and listened to, how they made me feel, why I loved them dearly.
If my work conveys nostalgia for the analogue, it is because I wouldn't be the artist and designer I am today if it weren't for them. I am deeply curious about the impact they have had on me as a creative, and it seems that whatever I create, in some way, pays homage to them.
