Goddess Lakshmi is the Mother of the whole universe, who helps Lord Vishnu, her consort, sustain the universe. She is called Lakshmi because she is the one who shows concern for all living beings. She grants everything from material prosperity to spiritual liberation to her devotees. She is equipped with conch, discus, club, lotus, and a pitcher of overflowing wealth. She is bedecked with ornaments and draped in resplendent fabrics. Her eyes are like lotus petals, blooming with a kind gaze. She's royally seated on the lotus, a symbol of blooming enlightenment. May the Goddess's kind gaze bring material and spiritual wealth!
