My personal interpretation would be that despite being far away geographically speaking, these mountains do communicate by breathing waves underneath the surface through the core's heat. Bonded by mass of different matters and organic roots/circuits which are links to the outside, showing that all is connected even if visually distanced (for us). All resulting in a "transpiring message" to the sky, which is code for scheduling another beneficial rain storm.
