Pyroraptor was a dromaeosaurid, a small, bird-like predatory theropod dinosaur that hunted in the Late Cretaceous forests of France and Spain. Similarly to other raptors, Pyroraptor was covered in feathers and possessed enlarged curved claws on the second toe of each foot, which measured nearly 7 centimeters in length, and were likely used as weapons or as climbing aids.
