id visit the edge of my home in olaysia often,
to dream of a better me
id gaze at the starlight in the distance
& listen to the echoes of infinite possibility calling out to me

i began to hear my voice in the echoes saying theres more;
that i am more

for a while i believed this is all id ever be
a struggling artist stuck inside the fields of olaysia
afraid of the world
& afraid of my future

i didnt know who I was on the other side of my fears
but what if everything i wanted existed there?

all i knew was i was missing part of myself that i could only find if i sacrificed my comfort here

comfort began to block my vision
& i forgot about what i wanted

but the starlight helped me remember

i knew my destiny awaited,
because although the path was dim & unfamiliar
it lit up just for me

i knew i had to let go of who i thought i was
to find who i was meant to be

so i left olaysia to follow the starlight
hoping to find myself at the destination,
on the road less traveled
