In addition to these issues, the view of the sunset was also important for Darius, so he built Persepolis on a mountain slope that in addition to strategic issues, he could see the view of the sunset from his palace and enjoy it.
In 518 BC, Persepolis was built by Darius the Great as the new capital of the Achaemenids in Persia. Persepolis is located in the northeast of Shiraz (Shiraz is one of the ancient cities of Iran).
