Part 1 of the Broken Trilogy, Disdain is a visual documentation of my confrontation with the notion of toxic masculinity. The body language of the figure represents shame and embarrassment at the thought of being exposed or vulnerable.
The floral elements represent a feminine energy that all men possess, but are often afraid to show.
This is where the start of my journey toward a healthier perspective of masculinity officially began.
