Babies are the cutest, be it an animal or a human. I was fortunate to spend a half day with these cute cheetah cubs, there were total 6 cubs with mother, all were very energetic and playful. But these two from the group were always together and gave me some amazing photo opportunities.

Unfortunately, the cubs had to suffer a bad fate, their mother couldn't save them. Due to unknown reasons, all of the cubs passed away.

Cheetah cubs depend on their mothers a lot for survival. Mothers keep their cubs hidden in their den for 6 to 8 weeks to keep them protected from predators such as lions, hyenas and leopards. Mother moves her cubs from den to den many times. The main factor determining cubs’ survival for the first 2 months is their ability to stay hidden from predators. During these early months, mothers are careful to not give away the cubs’ positions.
