This 1/1 NFT is the on-chain counterpart for a 12x18 inch unique work on paper. The physical work combines a hand-painted India ink wash ground with a digitally-drawn forms printed directly onto the painted surface with a pigment-based archival printer.
The physical work, created in 2016, resides in the permanent collection of Stony Brook University Hospital in Stony Brook, New York. Goldberg's “Wireframe” series began in 2004 as an outgrowth of his “Metagraph” series of abstract digital drawings.
The artist coined the term "Techspressionism" as the title of a solo exhibition in Southampton, NY in 2021. Techspressionism was first referred to as a movement in the 2015 WIRED article "If Picasso Had a MacBook Pro". Goldberg is a recipient of grants from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation and the New York State Council on the Arts.
