Distorted reality is a manifestation of visions from looking at things in a different perspective. Coming from a world of tech and innovations, photography has become a medium for me to daydream and look at things far beyond what is presented in front of me and produce works in a slow, methodic and contemplative approach.
This is a self-portrait photo taken in Nagano Prefecture, Japan. A secluded area where colonnades of Japanese Cedar trees aging more than 400 years old lead to a shrine deep into the mountains. I had the place all for myself and saw a couple of people only after a few more hours. And in those moments, it felt like a I was in a state of transcendence.
