Queen Amanikhatashan was the ruling queen of the Kush Kingdom. As a Queen, her proper title was "Kandake". Queen Amanikhatashan was one of the most powerful figures of the Meroe region in Sudan. She is associated with the Egyptian goddess Nut. Nut was the sky goddess who was the mother of the primary gods (Osiris, Isis, Set, Nephthys, Horus).
