In a garden the portal stood.
Thawing
untold silenced voices.
Unwitting Sirens,
appeared at dusk.
Peering memories
in dawn’s light returned.
Melting the mourning song.

2021

Familiar notes ring out.
Echoes in the ether.
Perhaps,
simply,
a new siren.
